Why are politicians lying to us ?
It's really simple to find it out. French speakers can't admit their failure, Wallonia is not so good and the decrease of unemployment is not so sure so they try to put something else on TV. BHV is perfect for them, if you cry for the poor french speakers of la périphérie bruxelloise you won't cry for the 100.000 unemployed people in Brussels city. It's great for them to say that Belgium is nearly ending and that french speaker parties are the last defenders of our country and of our flagS. In Flanders, though the Vlaams Belang is not governing, it's still a threat for all democratic parties so how could these party win seats from the VB ? They took simply parts of their program (as in France), now almost every party has a point about immigration and about lazy walloons. About BHV, it's sure that for a flemish who live there, absolutely NOTHING will change after the splitssing. So why is it in front of the newspapers and why could it lead to the end of the Kingdom ?

I think Belgium urgently needs 6 things:
1. a very clear documentary and a way to get it to every single Belgian. To explain what is happening. To make everyone realise what you and I are so mad about. That we are paying politicians a lot of money to kill our state. That we have to act NOW, before it's too late. The big split is in a closer future than most people think. On top of that we all know that hard economic times are most likely to come, and that we should prepare, but we are'nt.. There is an easy way to stop this: a mutual demonstration in Brussels with as many Belgians as possible. I am working on this documentary as fast as I can :-)
The question is not if we should do this. The question is when. The answer is that today is less of a disastre than tomorrow.
2. A professional management. To analyse our financial status and find the best solution.
In my opinion reformation to confederalism. For serious. I can give you a thousand of reasons to persuade Walloons that it will be economicly better for them. Few people know that all the advantages of federalism are possible in confederalism to. Simple rules to make it easier to decide and work everywere. Now the structure of our land is simply too difficult. Furthermore, confederalism mostly brings more patriotism. A solution that would therefor bring us what Flemish and Walloon citizens want. We should realise that. We should'nt listen to politicians who try to convince us to the opposite.
3. A campagne to make us more proud to be Belgian. Working on patriotism. Our lovely country deserves this.
4. Communication. Independent media. To understand why 'the others' vote and think as they do.
5. More control of the state-finance. Again by professional consulters.
6. Simplification. In law for example. Why for God's sake do we still use 'code napoleon'?? even in france it's called code civil. Again an image of the lak of proudness of Belgians.
I hope you mean what you write. I most certainly do. Spread the word. I will give you the link of the documentary we will put on the net (facebook, youtube, myspace, by e-mail,...). We have to make this work. We have to save Belgium! I will go for this 200% because I am sick of hoping that someone else will. I am bloudserious about this. I will not rest before we put an end to this situation. We have one big advantage. Politicians underestimate the power of the internet, and the power of the people.
